How to go about getting permanent fangs and how much does it cost?

Q. Dr. Glaister, I want to get permanent fangs, but I don’t know how to go about getting them, how much they cost, or even how to choose the best doctor. Can you help me figure this out?

A. I would think this decision through for a long time before going ahead with treatment as it would mean getting your canines filed down and a fang shaped Veneer or crown (depending on the shape of your teeth at the moment) placed on top.

This treatment would be irreversible and even though it may be something you want at the moment, if you change your mind in the future, you will not be able to have your natural teeth back. In this case you would have the fang restoration drilled off and a regular canine shaped restoration placed. You should also keep in mind that you will need to have your restoration replaced every 10-15 years.

Hope that has been of help.

Kind regards

The only question you didn’t answer how much the inital surgery would or should cost.
