how much would it charge for having a laser surgery for the tongue tie and is it safe

Q. Hello…my son is 10 year old and neeeds surgery for his tongue tie and i have read about the laser surgery to correct it..although the nhs has not offered it as yet..how much would it cost privately. ALSO CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME IF IT SAFE AND BETTER THAN THE CONVENTIONAL SURGERY? THANK YOU.

A. Laser surgery is safe, the main advantage would be the better post operative healing phase. Look online for a dentsit offering laser treatments in your area

Hi,
Im a 17 year old girl who has been tounge tied all my life and I’v done some research about it. I apparently have class 3 which is suppost to be severe I believe, correct? I have wanted to get it cut for a while now and have been looking for price ranges and which kind would be best for me to get under these circumstances. I find that I have pretty minimum speech problems which from what I have seen on the internet is good. I feel that this for me would be more of a socail surgry, more sometyhing for me. I also have twin little brothers as well who both have class 3 tounge tie too. They are 13 now and they have a little more speech problems than I ever did or recall. If you could help me out and give me pricing and which kind would be best for each of our cases that would be really great.
Thank you,
Ashley

As a result of grinding my teeth since I was young (now 24 years old) my left upper and lower teeth have ground down more than my right side. When I bite my front teeth together there is a gap between my left upper and lower teeth which I can almost push part of my tongue though. I cannot dothis on the right side. My question is can this unevenness affect my speech? I sometimes feel my tongue fills into the gap on the left hand side andI find it slightly difficult to pronounce sounds such as ‘s’ and ‘th’ – I feel that sometimes this makes me stumble upon sounds and words. Also I think have a slight crossbite as a result as my teeth slide to the left upon biting together.. and my midline is not even. Could this also add to the problem? Looking forward to hearing your response
