How many teeth are moved during the whole process of the 6 Month Smiles treatment?

Q.
I’m just looking at the 6 month smile program and i was wondering how many teeth are moved in the whole process?

I’ve read that only the teeth in the smile will move, how many teeth are considered the smile group? front 4,6,8? And do they include the bottom teeth also?

Also does this effect the bite after the procedure when only part of my teeth have moved? Atm my bite is uneven but it feels ok, will it change dramatically?

Many Thanks for your time

Hi yes the 6 month smile system is designed to move only the teeth in the smile, maximum 8 teeth each jaw. It usally required some reduction of the teeth width if there is a lot of crowing. It usually does not correct any bite issues and is condiered a ‘compromise’ treatment rather than the ‘ideal’. It can be both jaws however. The best thing to do if your bite is a concern or if you want the highest grade treatment possible, is to consult with a specialist orthodontist – have a look at the Damon and Incognito systems.

Hope that helps answer your questions
