How long do dental implants last?

Q.
I’m 20 and got a dental implant 2weeks ago, as I’m young I’m really anxious on the long term issues. Do crowns on implants become loose or fall out frequently, as far as your as your aware. It just that there a lot things you read on the internet about loose screws and crowns etc. I know you trust everything you read on the internet, it that its a life long decision and I would greatly appreciate the opinion of a expert. And if there was a time period in the life of the implant where instances such ad these where likely to occur

Any dental treatment can have complications including having to re-cement the crown. However dental implant treatment is the most successful treatment that can be achieved in replacing missing teeth, the alternatives have many more complications and potential pit falls as well as poorer long term success rates hope this helps

Hi Im 17 and have already had braces now i have a retainer with teeth on as when i was younger after my milk teeth had fallen out i was missing two teeth that wasnt there. I went for several x-rays and nothing was there to show that i had teeth up in my gums. My orthadontist and my dentist told me it was going too be all free. i went for a check up on my teeth and my dentist told me i was going to have to pay £2,500 per tooth to be fitted. Im 17 i do not have that kind of money to spend. And to have my 2 bridges it will be £300 per tooth and thats not going to last. This is really getting me down and i really hate my smile without my retainer in but i cant live with it forever. I was wondering if you could tell me if there is any possible chance i could get implants a lot cheaper? or i have also been told if i was born without my adult teeth i could have the treatment free? please help!

My inplant that was finished in May has suddenly become a little loose. I am afraid it has failed completely. What is the chance it is just the crown or screw that is loose?

I’m having one of my upper molars replaced with an implant. The bone cracked during the procedure and the implant was therefore wobbly, so the dentist stitched my gum over the healing cap to help hold the implant in place. I had my stiches out a few days ago and the small gap left in my gum was meant to heal. Instead, the gum has opened up again to reveal the whole healing cap. Do I need to go back for more stitches, or can I wait until my next appointment in 3 weeks time?
