This really depends on the type of braces used surely ? I know Inman Aligner takes about 6 weeks but other braces like invisalign take 18 months for them to work and I have read that if your teeth are really crooked you may have to wear headgear and the braces could take up to 3 years to work. I think each person is unique and it will take maybe 6 weeks for one person and 3 years for another. I had braces as a kid for more than 2 years but they were normal metal train track braces. Im so glad that I had braces as a kid.

Hi, I had braces “train tracks” when i was 13, and wore them for about 3.5 years. Im now 28 and have noticed my teeth have moved alot especially myfront teeth, im looking to get another brace or perhaps a retainer or nightbrace to improve this. Could you tell be what the costs might be invlovedin this? Many Thanks

My 15 year old daughter is very conscious about her front teeth and i was wondering what would you advise her to get. She has mild crookedness on thetop and seeing as she is starting a new school in 6 months, she would likesomething effective and quick. Any suggestions? Kind Regards,

Hello. I had braces for 3 years and had them removed sooner than I should have, in order to accommodate a deployment overseas. That was 8 years ago. I had 4 teeth extracted and as a result, my mouth looks shrunken in and I do not like my profile or smile at all now. I would like to do something about this as it’s been 8 years of being unhappy with the results. In your opinion, what would be the best course of action? Braces again, head brace, implants? Thank you,

This is very difficult to treat but braces might be best, you’ll need to see a dentist who specialises in adult orthodontics to get the best long-term result and will probably need retainers for life

I have a gap between my top left lateral incisor and canine. Consequentially, I have a slight (and I mean slight, I can only feel it when i run my tongue along the back of my teeth) over lay of the top right lateral incisor and canine. A little gap between my Top Centrals is also forming. My teeth used to be perfect, they just grew in that way until I was in 7th grade and stupidly put a rubber band between my TLeft Lat Incis because I thought it was cool, and I did this alot. I was looking into invisible liners so how many would it take?

Hard for me to say but I would expect the treatment to be fairly quick if the crowding is only very minor

When I rub my fingers from front to back on each top row of teeth, my left row of teeth seem to go in towards mouth, and the right row do not. when i close my teeth together, like smiling, and move my fingers from front toward back, my front teeth go over bottom, then after the 2 teeth after front, it goes normal. I hope this isnt too confusing, and I hope you understand, but what is this, what should I do about it?

I would seek the advice of an orthodontist or cosmetic dentist who has a lot of orthodontic experience and ask their professional opinion once they have examined you in person.
