How do i find the best cosmetic dentist near me? do cosmetic dentists need a special qualification?
Q. I have been considering cosmetic dentistry for some time, but have no idea where really to start. I have a bit of a “picky shopper” nature and would want to know that I’m dealing with the best practitioner and most accomplished dental artist with the best reputation for his/her work. Much as I am sure that all cosmetic dentists have to be qualified, like in all walks of life there will be good ones and bad ones! My question is – how do I find the very BEST cosmetic dentist near me, what assurances do I have that I am making the right choice of dentist, and where can I find reviews of various practices if such things exist? Interestingly you do not have to have a specific qualification to practice cosmetic dentistry. This is one of the main reasons why I am involved with the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. We are a body who are passionate to help dentists achieve a certain standard in cosmetic dentistry by providing courses, an accreditation program, an annual conference etc.
The best advice I can give you in choosing a dentist is to visit the BACD web site to at least find dentists who are listed on the web site. I would then go on to their specific web sites to have a look at the quality of their work. This will give you a good starting point to choose the dentist to provide you with your new smile.
