How can I straighten my misaligned teeth and improve their whiteness?

Q.
Hello!

I have a problem with my teeth, they are not aligned properly, not straight, especially one front tooth.(it sticks out)…I had braces in the past but it didn’t turn out to be a successful treatment because apparently my tongue went in the way and pushed the teeth a bit forward….I still have this wire behind my front teeth to keep everything together…could you advice what kind of braces to have? I was also thinking about veneers, but my teeth are healthy though they are naturally yellowish ( i had them whitened as well, but still stayed pretty much the same….)
What would you advise me?

Looking forward to hear from you soon!

Hi.
There are several methods of orthodontic treatment to align teeth. These range from conventional fixed braces (train tracks) to invisible(clear) braces. Treatment time can vary from 6 weeks to 24+ months. Most misaligned teeth can be corrected well with orthodontic treatment. Veneers does involve removal of a minimal amount of enamel and can be used if orthodontic treatment does not fully correct the misalignment. There are also several methods of tooth whitening which can be used to improve colour of teeth. You would need a cosmetic assessment in order to determine what treatment would be most appropriate.
Thank you for your enquiry.
