How Can I Replace Four Missing Teeth in a Row?

Q.
I have recently lost four front teeth in a row. If I decided to go for an implant, how many would I need, and is a bridge possible with implants? I originally had a bridge on two teeth, then the one next to the bridge was removed. I recently had a plate for that, but in the meantime we found I had decay in the two teeth. Apparently the bridge wasn’t very good and was leaking so now the bridge has to be removed, plus the two teeth holding bridge and the gap I already have, which makes a loss of four teeth in a row. What is the best way forward? I cannot get used to an acrylic dental plate. Please can you give me some advice? I have booked an appointment to see a specialist.

Hello, thank you for getting in touch. Without x-rays and examining you fully I can’t really be certain, but it might be possible to have an implant bridge. This may replace three or maybe four teeth, so it could mean that could mean two or three implants (or maybe four) are needed. The expert/specialist you are seeing should be able to advise you on what’s possible.  Kind regards, Mark.
