Hello Dr Moore. My Teeth Are Ridiculously Sensitive. Which Dental Treatment Can Help Me Instead Of Just Using Toothpastes?

Q.
Hello Dr. Moore. My teeth are ridiculously sensitive, I have tried lots of different toothpastes to try and reduce their sensitivity but nothing will offer me relief. It’s getting very frustrating as it’s everything that is slightly cold or hot causes me pain and toothache. I was basically wondering if there was any dental treatment that could help my teeth instead of just using toothpastes and such? Any advice you can offer would be very much appreciated. I look forward to reading your response, Thank you in advance.

Hello and thank you for writing in. You might benefit from fillings placed over the root surfaces to reduce the sensitivity; if the roots aren’t exposed then maybe fluoride applications in specially made trays might help. Have you asked your dentist? If he can’t help you, you should seek a second opinion somewhere else. I would need to see you in person to accurately assess your condition. I hope this helps you. Kind regards, Dr Andrew Moore.
