Gum disease is causing me to lose teeth, how can I stop this?

Q.
Hi I have been told that I have gum disease. I have had one of my molar tooth removed as it had become loose and another one is moving also.
Please advise the best treatment for this now and long term. I need to stop further tooth lose.
A.
A full assessment with X-rays is needed. A variety of options including scaling, root surface treatments, antimicrobial therapy and surgery can be used. Also aids like Perio-Protect. It can be successfully treated depending on excellent oral hygiene maintained by the patient and managing other risks for further gums problems.
