Dental implant for a loose tooth.

Q.
I have been advised to have one of my top teeth taken out as it is loose and have a dental implant ,does the tooth have to be taken out and left for a while , or can they put the implant in right away
A.
If possible place the implant at the same time although the bone needs to be in good condition.

A dental implant can be a lietime solution and is by far one of the most durable restorations dentistry has to offer in the modern day.

Can you have implants if you have Zolendronic acid @ 5mg infusion per year . I need 2 extractions of lower front teeth to hold a 4 tooth bridge .Bone in lower jaw is thick & capable of taking implant .I am taking z/a for borderline osteoporosis . Gums healthy .Teeth needing removal have had unsuccesful root canal treatment.I am 68 years old & have retained most teeth though restored.I maintain excellent oral hygeine .

you may be at a greater risk of post operative complications. You should speak to your implant surgeon and find out what they think as opinions vary between dentists
