could i have something else wrong with me that could be causing my gums receding

Q. I’m a 42 year-old woman and i have a great concern about my gums. lately i have been experiencing receding gums in my inner and outer gum area. i practice good oral hygeine , brush, floss etc. what causes this. could i have something else wrong with me that could be causing this. i’ve even bought some mouth washes that are supposed to help but nope. can u please tell me what i shoud do.

A. It is likely that you would benefit from a visit to a dentist to check out the health of your gum beneath the visible line where the gum comes up to the tooth. It might also be good to see a dental hygeinist and show them your current cleaning practice. Some cases are caused by over brushing and others are caused by under brushing.
