I Chipped A Front Tooth A Few Years Back. Should I Have The Other One Reshaped?

Hello Dr Shaffie. I chipped one of my front teeth a few years back now but the tooth I chipped has always been longer than the one next to it. Do you think I could I get some sort of reshaping to make it the same length as the one next to it? If so how much do you think would it cost? I need about 2 mm taken of the tooth so its the same length. The part of the tooth that is chipped is now the same length as the other teeth, so the reshaping would also have to match the chip. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer me.

How Old Do You Have To Be To Get Veneers? I’d Like To Close The Gaps In My Teeth.

Hi Dr Shaffie, I just want to know how old do you have to be to have veneers and do you have to get them done at your own dentist or can you have them done anywhere? Do they also cover big gaps? because I have a really big gap in my teeth and I want to get rid of it because I always cover my mouth when I speak and hide my teeth, but I’m only 16 and somebody told me I can’t have them at this age, also how long do they take to have done? Or is there any other way to hind gaps/get rid of them? I hope you can help me, and thank you for any advice in advance.

I’ve Been Wondering What The Best Way Is To Fix The Gaps Between My Front Teeth?

Hello Dr Shaffie. I’m 19 years old and I have two big front teeth with a gap between them and I’ve been wondering what the best way to fix them? I want to make them smaller and close the gap because it’s really irritating me, especially when I smile or laugh. My other problem is that I have dental caries, which used to be one tooth but now I have three teeth with large holes in them. I also have holes between my teeth and I’m asking if I want to do a filling. How does the dentist reach the places between the teeth? Hope to hear from you and receive your advice.

I’ve Been Told I Grind My Teeth And Now My Veneers Are Falling Apart. Is There A More Durable Option?

Hello Dr.Andrew. I had three veneers done on my front teeth two years back and later they started falling off. I was told by my doctor to use a mouth guard as I may be grinding teeth. Also I took all precautions as to maintain them like I don’t bite anything hard, etc. I don’t like them now, they keep on falling and I’ve tried every other option. Do I have any other option apart from veneers as I don’t want to continue with them? Or can I go for implants as veneers are an irreversible procedure? Please help me with this problem and thank you for your advice.

Hi Dr. Hughes,
I am just contacting you to ask for some advice on possible options for the treatment of fluorosis. I am 19 years old and I have had braces in the past couple of years in order to align my teeth, but now they are off I am more self-conscious about the brown marks/flecks; especially on the upper incisors. I am worried that if I get Lumineers or veneers that they will look fake and make the discolouration of my bottom teeth more noticeable.
I would be grateful if you could give me some advice on what you think would be the best route of treatment, and a rough price-range that I could expect if I decided to get Lumineers or Veneers. Many thanks.

Hello Dr Moore. I hope you can help me. My enquiry relates to the fact that I have a chip on my front tooth that is filled with composite, however this constantly keeps coming off. I have been told a veneer is an option however I am wondering if having the tooth reshaped would be a better option? I am worried that the chip in my tooth may be too large to reshape. Hi Mark. I am classed as a complex case having been born with a cleft palette and having extensive upper and lower jaw surgery. If I made an appointment would I get one with you regarding restorative dental work. I have metal plates holding my jaw together and one is sticking out of my gum and 2 of my molars have crumbled. I also need new veneers and crowns, one crown was recently replaced and has broken in half and all are different colours.  My teeth are also too small as my old veneers have worn down, they have been on for nearly 20 years there is also a large lump that seems to be my jaw bone hanging down. Hi Dr Moore, I’d like advice on what to do with my daughter has been on medication since she was born the medicine has made her teeth rot and she is now 14 years old and hasn’t got any confidence, she doesn’t go out and doesn’t want to go to school. Would it be possible to get her veneers on the NHS? The medication she is on is sodium picosulphate and movicol and in the past she has been on lactulose and various other medicines. It is very embarrassing for her she got no friends because she won’t mix with anyone. Any advice would be gratefully received. Thank you.

Hello, my right front tooth is visibly darker then left one. It has been badly damaged by dentist 7 years ago (not in the UK) and changed colour. It has been re-done few times, but I never did get the perfect result. Both the shape and colour is different and it is thicker than my left tooth.
Is it possible to make it the same as left front tooth with a porcelain veneer?

Hello Dr Hughes, I would like to discuss my problem. I had 18 veneers done when I was 16, I am now 46 years old and although I have looked after my teeth they are receding, chipped a little, and my bite is certainly not the same. Please could you tell me how much this would cost to renew? And also, how long does the process take? Is their finance available as I don’t have enough cash up front as I had my teeth done on NHS as my teeth were black and unsightly? Is your clinic near the North West? Thank you in advance.
