Why Do My Teeth Seem to Have Moved Forward?

Tuesday, May 17th, 2016
Q.

Hi, I’ve recently noticed that my bottom front teeth appear to have moved forward, protruding a little bit and the inside of my mouth seems different. I’m 52, is this common? If so, why? And can it be fixed? I’ve never had a Hollywood smile and I’d like to have something done. Can anything be done and why is it happening? I have a small lower jaw. The top and bottom wisdom teeth on the left side were removed 26 years ago.
Thanks.

I Have An Overbite And My Teeth Overlap. I Want Straighter Teeth Without Looking Like A 12 Year Old. What Can I Do?

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2014
Q.

Hi there, I am 19 years old and I was wondering if there is anything I can do to get straighter teeth?
I have an over-bite and my front teeth over lap each other. I would like to avoid braces at all costs, Mostly because I’ve heard that they take like 4 years to straighten? Is there anyway I can do this without braces? I don’t want to look like a 12 year old. Please let me know if there is any other options? I am desperate! Thank you for your time.

Can Tooth Grinding Cause The Misalignment Of Teeth? If So, How Would I Fix This Problem?

Monday, October 7th, 2013
Q.

Hello, I am looking for an advice regarding teeth straightening. I have recently noticed that my teeth (front ones) are becoming slightly curved in appearance – they are not as straight (vertically) as they used to be.  I am not sure if this is related to the teeth grinding problem I am going through at the moment, and can I also ask whether teeth grinding can affect teeth alignment? Can you please offer any advice regarding this matter as I’d like to fix this problem in the future. Many thanks.

Hi Mark, I Really Want To Sort My Teeth Out. Would You Be Able To Recommend Any Clinics Around London?

Tuesday, September 24th, 2013
Q.

Hi Mark. If you don’t mind I’d like to ask you a couple of questions. I really want to sort my teeth out, I’m not happy with the colour of them and would really like to straighten them, especially at the front of both the top and bottom sets. I’m a London cab driver so a clinic in London would really work out best for me. Would you be able to recommend any clinics around this area? I’m not too fussed about the cost I just want them sorted to the best standards as possible. Thanks mate, hope you can sort something out for me.

I Need My Teeth Straightened After A Fight But I’m Worried They Might Crack, Could This Happen?

Monday, September 2nd, 2013
Q.

Hiya,

Let me first start by saying how it started, a few years ago when I was 16, I got into a fight and got punched in the mouth, it landed on my front upper tooth and now it’s been pushed back, it’s not major problem but I would like it straightened again so it will line up with the rest of my teeth, the only problem is that I am worried about is if there is crack across the centre of the tooth, would it still be able to be straightened? The crack isn’t major but it’s still there and I worry everyday that if I bite into something hard it could crack completely. Any help and advice will be appreciated, obviously I will not attempt to straighten it myself, I just want to know if it’s worth me making a trip to a cosmetic dentist?

Thanks.

Is It Best To Shorten Or Lengthen My Front Teeth To Have Them Level?

Wednesday, August 28th, 2013
Q.

Hello Dr Hughes, I have always had one tooth slightly longer than the other at the front and I am not very comfortable smiling because of it and I’m looking at ways of fixing it. What is the best way to fix this? Can I have this levelled out or a bit added to the shorter one? I am worried that if I have it shortened it might discolour and even eventually fall out, Could this happen? How much would a treatment like this cost or would you advise to leave it as it is? Thank you for your time.

I Used To Be A Smoker And Need My Teeth Straightened, But I’d Struggle To Pay For Veneers. What Are My Options?

Wednesday, August 21st, 2013
Q.

Hi, I am only 22 years old and getting very depressed because of the look of my teeth. I am ashamed to say I was a smoker and didn’t eat very healthy in the past. I have now stopped smoking and eating better but my teeth are still terrible because of my bad habits in the past. They’re not as white as they were and my bottom teeth are not straight and all different shapes. I hate too look at them and I hate to smile at anyone. It’s making my life hell and has taken all of my confidence away because of my wrong choices in the past. It’s even affected my personal life because myself esteem was so low I could never smile near my ex-boyfriend. I can never afford that type of money for veneers, can you please advise me on what I can do, Thank you for reading, do please get back to me.

My Front Tooth Has Grown Bigger Than The Other And Looks Very Silly What Can Be Done?

Wednesday, August 7th, 2013
Q.

My two front teeth have grown very straight, however one has stopped growing all together so one is bigger than the other and looks very silly- there has been no cause for this what so ever, it effects my confidence on a numbers of levels and I fear it’s intruding on my social life. I do not have perfectly straight teeth but they have all grown and I have no baby teeth left. I have been to the dentist on several occasions and I am due to go again on Monday but I’m just wondering what the procedure would be; is it possible that they could build up the tooth so it’s the same size as my other one? Would this be a painful procedure? Also could you tell me what the dentist could possibly do about this please and how they could rectify this annoying problem? Thanks.

I tried the teeth whitening and I wasn’t satisfied with the result, it was a total waste of time and money, My teeth still look the same and its really embarrassing. Also, what would be the best treatment for me to have a straight teeth line, I am 33 at the moment , Is a perfect white and straight teeth line still possible? Please, let me know the best option suitable in my case. Thanks.
