I’m Not Sure About The Price I’ve Been Quoted For A Ceramic Bridge. Should I Opt For An Implant Instead?

Friday, February 28th, 2014
Q.

Hello Andrew. I have been quoted by my dentist £1995 for a ceramic bridge ( metal base I think ).  It’s for the back teeth on one side, I thought there was one tooth missing but he says there is two missing. This price seems very high to me, it is a private clinic, with a very good reputation. I was originally going to opt for an implant as I had been told by a previous dental practice that a bridge wasn’t a viable option. Can you advise on what would be the best course of action to take next? Thank you for your time.

I Have Low Esteem And I Would Like To Know Roughly How Much It Costs To Get The Perfect Smile?

Thursday, February 27th, 2014
Q.

Hi Andrew,

I am an 18 year old student studying at college. I hope you can offer me some good advice. I really hate my teeth I find it difficult to eat and I never smile because I lack confidence as this leads to low self esteem. I just wish I had a perfect smile. My question for you Andrew, is how much roughly does the process cost and how long would it take? Are there any other benefits and drawbacks? Thanks. I look forward to hearing your reply.

Is It Common Practice To Pay All Of The Money Upfront And If So Is There Some Sort Of Guarantee Of Completion/Workmanship?

Tuesday, January 28th, 2014
Q.

Hello Dr Moore. Thanks to this website I believe I have found a fantastic cosmetic dentist and am looking forward to having my treatment done. I just had one last question about paying for the treatment; Is it common practice to pay all of the money up-front and if so is there usually some sort of guarantee of work completion/workmanship? Are you asked to sign a contract? Thanks for your help and advice in advance.

I’m Looking Into Getting Braces For My Top And Bottom Teeth. What Financial Options Can I Obtain To Achieve This?

Monday, November 4th, 2013
Q.

I’m looking into getting braces for my top and bottom sets of teeth. It’s something that I have been thinking about for a couple of years now and feel it will help me feel better in myself. The bottom set are the worst out of the pair due to my wisdom teeth coming through and pushing teeth out of position which has caused me a lot of pain in the past. I am on a low wage at the moment and would like my teeth fixed, is there any way to get them fixed through a finance plan? For example, pay monthly with no interest rate or any other ways, and also could you tell me if there is any highly rated dentists in the Nottingham/Derby area? Thanks.

Can I qualify for free orthodontic treatment if I am in full time education at the age of 18?

Wednesday, October 17th, 2012
Q.

Hi Andrew, I wondered if you could help me? At the age of 14, I was told by my dentist that I would require orthodontic treatment to fix my out of shape mouth.
The orthodontics couldn’t offer me treatment for another 2 and a half years, so my parents paid £1,800 for me to have it done there and then to save the wait. I was meant to have them on for 18 months, but they got removed after about a year as apparently my treatment had finished. I wore my retainer for 6 months and all was fine.
I am now 18, going to be 19 in December, and my bottom teeth are all out of shape again, and I have a big overbite of my upper jaw. I am still in full time education, can I qualify for free treatment? Even though I’ve had it before, paid for it, and it was only a temporary fix?

Many Thanks

I’ve been told to let my teeth fall out then I can receive dentures, what would you suggest I do?

Friday, August 10th, 2012
Q.

Hi, I wondered if you give me some advice regarding my dental matter? My gums have receded badly and where my 4 front teeth are positioned my teeth are all loose. I am considering dental implants but would this be possible as my gums have receded, what is the likely cost?
My dentist suggested that I leave the teeth until they fall out and then wait up to 6 weeks for dentures. I do not want to wait 6 weeks. They are now uncomfortable and I am having a lot trouble when eating. What else would you suggest? Thank you.

Would I benefit from have a dental implant procedure in the future?

Wednesday, June 6th, 2012
Q.

I’m trying to decide whether or not to have a root canal done on tooth #32, or to have it pulled and possibly have a dental implant done in the future. What are the cost comparisons, benefits, etc., to having one or the other. I have had several root canals done in the past. At my age of 50+, I really need to weigh my options. Root canals can be expensive but I’m not quite sure how much a dental implant will cost me. I have dental insurance that will cover half the cost. I just need some professional advice. I am really leaning towards having it pulled since it’s all the way in the back of my mouth. Please advise.
