I’m Unsure Which Braces Are More Suitable For Me. Invisalign Or The Inman Aligner?

Thursday, November 7th, 2013
Q.

Hello Dr Moore, I hope you can help me with my query. I have the choice to use Invisalign or Inman aligner. My dentist has explained that Inman aligner is only for the front teeth which is my biggest concern. But he has pointed out that my upper teeth behind my k9s don’t run how they should but instead curve into my mouth if you understand what I mean. I was wondering whether Invisalign has the ability to pull back teeth towards my cheeks therefore correcting this problem? I’d be grateful for any information you can provide.

What Treatment Options Are Best To Straighten My Wonky Front Teeth?

Wednesday, November 6th, 2013
Q.

Hi there, my teeth are all nice and straight except for my two front teeth which are quite on the wonky side and give me a goofy look. I was wondering what would be the best procedure to straighten them? I’m a bit dubious about braces as people I know who have had them have ended up with poor quality teeth afterwards and I’m 25 so may look a bit stupid with braces! Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Mark, I Would Like To Straighten My Teeth Without Visible Braces. Any Advice Would Be Appreciated?

Friday, November 1st, 2013
Q.

Hi Mark,
I am missing my UR2 tooth (since birth) and have a bridge connected to the UR3. It was also connected to the UR1 but that wing was removed by a dentist in May. Since then my UR1 has moved forwards and to the left and my UL1 has moved inwards and to the left as a result.
I would like to know about an implant/bridge for the UR2 and some way to straighten my teeth especially the front two now they have moved. But I don’t want visible braces, but Invisalign or similar is okay though.
Thank you, any advice would be appreciated.

I Am 50 And I Still Have A Baby Tooth That Now Needs To Come Out. What Solutions Do You Suggest I Go With To Close The Gap?

Wednesday, October 30th, 2013
Q.

I am 50 years old with a baby tooth that never fell out next to my top big tooth it is now discoloured, loose and I got an estimate for Invisalign which is crazy I have no orthodontic insurance. What would be your suggestion for fixing this? Invisalign, 6 month smile? I cut all my food, I don’t smile and now I’m at the point that I need to get something done. The dentist said he doesn’t know how the tooth hasn’t fallen out yet. You’d really be helping me.

I Don’t Want To Have More Teeth Taken Out And Braces Treatment. Is There Another Way To Fix My Buck Teeth?

Tuesday, October 29th, 2013
Q.

Hello Dr Gambroudes. I used to have what I would call vampire teeth. After getting braces, my “vampire” smile turned into buck teeth. I had two upper teeth removed to make more room and continued to wear braces for two years but the buck teeth never disappeared. And they are really bad buck teeth and it’s started to affect my speech. Is there another option to fix buck teeth without having to go back to braces? The orthodontist I went to when I had my braces said I would have to get more upper teeth removed if I wanted to continue with braces and I really don’t want that.

I Was Told When Younger That I Would Need My Jaw Broken To Fix My Large Overbite. How Much Would It Now Cost To Fix My Smile?

Friday, October 25th, 2013
Q.

Hello Dr Moore. My problem is that I have a overbite and it is quite big. When I was a child I went the orthodontist and he told me it was a very big overbite and would probably need my jaw broken. My two front teeth are very prominent compared to the others. Does this mean Invisalign would not work for me? I really don’t want the metal braces! Is there any other options? Like veneers? Based on the information I have given you can you take a rough estimate on how long it would take to fix my smile?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you for taking the time to listen.

I Want A Solution To Fix My Overcrowded Vampire Teeth, But I Don’t Want To Be Wearing Braces For My Wedding Day, What Can I Do?

Monday, September 9th, 2013
Q.

Hi, My teeth are overcrowded at the top and bottom. I also have two vampire style teeth on top, one at each side and they are also overlapping the ones beside them.  I would rate my smile a one out of ten. I am 35 years old hope to get married next year I should have got them done years ago. I really don’t want to get braces for two years and want to know if it is my only option? I would really like to get veneers but don’t know if this would work on my teeth.  I was on holiday last year and a little boy said to his mam beside me look at her teeth mam, she is like a vampire, I was so embarrassed, I really hope you can advise me.

Good Day, Is It Possible To Fix My Overbite With Braces?

Tuesday, August 27th, 2013
Q.

Good Day,

I’m 23 years old and have always been in need of braces/dental correction as I have an overbite on my front teeth which is quite deep. I’d hate the idea of wearing metallic braces or any sort of braces really that are visible as I would feel very conscious of them, at the same time I do need correction. I was wondering if sub-lingual braces could be a solution to my case and if so, how long would the treatment last and how much would it come to? As I travel a lot and tend to move country every 6 months to a year due to my job, I’d like to try the quickest or easiest solution, without having to sacrifice my job or having a beautiful smile. Do You think Invisalign could be a solution for my overbite as well? Many thanks.

Are Quick Fix Invisible Braces The Way To Go For Me?

Friday, April 12th, 2013
Q.

I have recently had a consultation for a clear brace (similar to invisalign but it is the dental practices’ own ‘in house’ version) which focuses on aligning the front x6 teeth. I was told it would work within 22 weeks, and requires the teeth to be polished with an abrasive floss to shave a minimal amount from the teeth in order to create space for the teeth to move. My two front teeth are crossing over slightly which is the reason I would like the brace.

My concern is whether such speedy treatment poses any risks? As a teenager I had very extensive orthdontic treatment & am just very wary of this seemingly quick fix. In your opinion do you think there will be long term issues with this type of treatment – will the enamel be affected if the teeth are ‘shaved’, leaving me with sensitive teeth? And are the teeth not too brittle to be moved so quickly? (I am 30 years old). It sounds similar to invisalign but not as trustworthy.
Please advise, thank you

What Is Available To Help Me Straighten Just My Top Row Of Teeth?

Monday, April 8th, 2013
Q.

Hi, I just wanted to ask whether it is possible to get Invisalign braces for just the top set of teeth. And a rough idea about the cost for them… The bottom set of my teeth are fine and so are the top set however on the top set.. the two middle teeth are slightly different length.. just slightly… and the tooth after the one next to the middle teeth on the right hand side is higher then the rest of my other teeth.. so basically i just need them for the top set really. Also how many months will i need to keep them on for until the top set are straight… are they painful?
