I Have A Two Teeth Growing At The Top Of My Gum And I Think My Teeth Have Moved. Is This Possible?

Wednesday, September 24th, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr Marcus, I am 12 years old and I think my teeth went forward or back as when I close them and put my teeth down it feels strange.
Like there is a tooth in the way. I also have 2 teeth growing on top of the gum. When I close my mouth the teeth on the left it feels like one is in the way. Please help me. How do I know if my teeth came forward and how do I get them to look like they are on my top left next to the top big teeth – the one on the left of the big tooth is behind the bottom left teeth? Is this right? Thank you.

Will Treatment for My Daughter’s Malocclusion be Available on the NHS?

Thursday, September 4th, 2014
Q.

Hello Dr Gambroudes. My daughter is twelve years of age and has a mesially inclined lower right sixth tooth and her lower right fifth tooth is impacted. We have already made an appointment with an orthodontist and will be seeing him in a few months, but in the meantime, do you have any idea if these malocclusions will fall within the NHS bracket for free treatment? And how would this problem be treated, do you think she would need a brace? Any information you have would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance for taking the time to read this question and offer any advice you may have.

My Front Tooth Is Impacted. Is There Any Way To Correct This Through Surgery Or Any Other Corrective Treatment?

Friday, June 13th, 2014
Q.

Hello Mark. I hope you can help me. My front tooth is impacted after a milk tooth was forcibly pulled by my primary school teacher. Can a front impacted tooth be pushed out through surgery? I was told in the US that a good dental surgeon could do it. Or can it be extracted and replaced with a dental implant? Also another tooth is cracked. Is there any assistance you could give me? I am not working is there anything that can be done? Thank you for your time.

I Have A Partially Impacted Wisdom Tooth Trying To Come Through For 6 – 8 Years. It’s Starting To Taste Bad. What Are My Options Regarding This?

Monday, March 10th, 2014
Q.

Hello Andrew. I have a wisdom tooth on the left side of my mouth that’s partially impacted. It’s been trying to come through for many years (possibly 6 – 8 years) but there’s one quarter of it that still hasn’t pushed through. It is not really causing me any pain however I’ve noticed a horrible smell/taste coming from the tooth. What are my options regarding this? I’ve been researching wisdom tooth extraction and am not too keen on this procedure. I look forward to hearing your advice.

I Have One Tooth That Comes Forward After It Was Impacted. I Would Really Like A Brace, Would It Cost Me A Fortune?

Monday, March 10th, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr Moore, I am 15 years old and in all honestly my teeth are fairly straight apart from this one tooth at the front which is up a lot more than the rest. This really annoys me. I think it happened when the baby tooth underneath took too long to fall out and for some reason the adult tooth started growing first, over the top if it. I would really like to have a brace or something for it, I just don’t want it to cost thousands of pounds! I hope you can help. Thank you for any advice you can offer me.

Is It Possible For A Tooth To Grow Inside The Palate?

Monday, January 13th, 2014
Q.

Is it possible for a tooth to grow inside the palate? When I was a kid a had a missing tooth (premolar) that caused a lot of disarrangement and spaces between my teeth. Now I’m 21 years old and the remaining premolar and one of my other molar are stuck together, and also there’s a hump in my palate, I think that’s the premolar that supposed to be growing through but I can’t be sure. I don’t know what to do as I don’t have enough money to go to the dentist, so please can you help me?

What Should I Do About My Impacted Teeth?

Thursday, January 24th, 2013
Q.

I am 26 years old and have impacted canine teeeth in the gum and my baby canine’s remainin intact with some wear. I was wondering if I could get Veneers over the baby canines? I am not confident that getting the impacted canines taken down is worth my time or money at this age as the bones from my understanding are pretty fused at this point. Furthermore I’d have to get braces which is way out of my price range and comfortability!
So are Veneers or are implants the better option? Please help!
