I had Root canal and need a crown how long will a crown last

Hi Dr Solanki, I had root canal treatment on one of my teeth over a year ago, the tooth has now broken. I have been informed by my dentist that I now need a crown as soon as possible. Could you please advise me what crown I should go for and how long one would last. Also, please could you tell me how much I should expect to pay for a crown as i’m looking to change dentists, and want to make sure that I choose the best one. One more thing, what are the chances of a crown falling off? because the last thing I want to do is pay for the treatment and within a month it falls off. Many thanks in advance.

Immediate implant placement post extraction advice

My question is about immediate post-extraction implant placement. I have had a crown on 1 upper front tooth for 18yrs recently the post broke and according to my dentist the post is too short for another crown. I am contemplating various options to replace the crown,one of them being a titanium implant.I have already had X rays, blood tests etc…to assess suitability to implant. I am in favour of an immediate post extraction implant placement which i mentioned to my dentist,he stated it was a “possibility” but would not elaborate. I am aware you cannot answer what would be best in MY case but i would be grateful for some general info on potential dangers/difficulties of immediate post extraction implant. I am 65 yrs old with no major health problems. I have had a successful hip replacement (titanium) a few years back.Many thanks for your advice. Regards. F

Treatment for crooked teeth in Liverpool invisalign or veneers?

I have a large genetic gap between my front teeth will invisalign work?

I have a large gap in-between my two front teeth. This gap is genetic, it runs in the family and while I don’t want to close the gap completely I would like to reduce the size of it. Would Invisalign be able to reduce the size of my gap?

Im not happy with Straightness of my teeth

Hi, I am 21 and am not happy with the ‘straightness’ of my teeth. I was offered braces at a younger age, for which i opted, only to have a panic attack in the chair at my first tooth removal. I have two ‘missing’ lateral incisors at the top, and instead a ‘peg’ grew to replace only one of them. My dentist proposed to remove this peg, my two lower 1st premolars and put braces on both my upper and lower teeth. After treatment my upper canines would have been filed down so as to appear more incisor-like and not so pointy. There is no sign of any wisdom teeth. I very much want my teeth straightening, but at this age I do not want obvious braces. Please could you tell me, what ‘invisible’ treatments are there suitable for me? And at what financial cost? I am confident I can cope with extractions now! Many thanks

I have two missing teeth and gaps on my front 6 teeth I think I need bridges or implants how much would this cost?

My front tooth is coming out can you put it back in with some support i want to keep my real tooth

Hi my name is G one of my front two teeth is moving and i think that it is going to come out soon and i was wondering if you could take my original tooth that came and put that real tooth back with some special liquid or with some support that acts as the root of the tooth that holds it strongly in place. I have crooked teeth and dont want veneers can I have invasalign or Inman Aligner?

I am a 42 woman who takes pride in her appearance and am now just about able to afford some cosmetic dentistry. I had several extractions as a child to try to reduce overcrowding. I have a crooked tooth at the top front which I would like to correct plus uneven teeth ( about 4 teeth) at the bottom front. I don’t want porcelain veneers as I don’t like the idea of me losing my identity for a ‘perfect’ smile – I don’t want perfection, just to straighten my own, much loved but flawed teeth! I have heard of Inman Aligners and Invasalign but am nervous of taking that first step as I don’t like the idea of tampering with healthy teeth. Also I would be worried that improvements i.e. through braces, wouldn’t be permanent. Can you advise/reassure me?? Thanks R
