Hi. I have okay teeth but quite a few with mercury filling, some missing due to pregnancy (This is over 17 years ago) and now I feel I may lose a front one. I have a face to face job role which is why I would like to know if you could recommend or if possible either free or very low cost veneers done by a student. I have had my front top two redone as the enamel was eroding them. I am on a low income but I am willing to contribute. I am finding it difficult to find a dentist and feel for me to keep my teeth this is my only option. I do not like to ask but I also do not want to not smile again. I already have full dentures and I would like to know if I should go to the dentist and get them gold plated? How much would it cost to plate all teeth in the denture on both top and bottom with gold?
Other than that cosmetic question I was wondering how long should I be in pain after my teeth have been removed and the dentures placed in my mouth? It has been 3 weeks and the holes where my teeth came out of are still bothering me. The pain I would say is mild but when I try to eat even ice cream I am using my tongue to eat it and when I press against my top denture it is still quite painful. They fit just fine and are staying on very well and I feel the pain where the tooth used to be so I am figuring it is not a fitting issue.
Hello, I’m 18 and working and I desperately need braces due to my two front teeth have been pushed back and bent inwards, my bottom teeth have been pushed to one side and are slanted, I have a chip on one tooth and they’re all different lengths.
Will I have to pay for them braces? If yes, how much will they cost me? And will I have to pay every year or have a payment scheme? If I will be able to get braces how can I set up an appointment for this or will I go on a waiting list?
I would like to push back my upper front teeth and to straighten them too so there’s no overcrowding. I would also like to straighten my lower teeth which are crowded and one tooth protrudes outwards significantly. I have seen an orthodontist and cosmetic dentist but I’m totally confused whether to go with an orthodontist or a cosmetic dentist. One recommended Invisalign the other Six month smiles. One also said they couldn’t push my lower tooth back in line totally due to lack of space. Is there anything that can be done to create more space for a perfect outcome? Thank you.

Hello Dr Gambroudes, I’m 16, 17 in January and I really want to get my teeth whitened as I feel self conscious about my teeth as they’re slightly yellow. I don’t want to use a home kit as I don’t want to get it wrong. Would someone at my age be allowed laser teeth whitening? Also what are the disadvantages, how long will it take? Hi, I had a silver amalgam filling removed today as it made my tooth look totally grey and had it replaced with a white filling. However, there is a silver band around the top quarter of the tooth (although the rest of the tooth looks okay). Does this mean that the dentist may have left some if the old silver filling in and this is now showing through? The old filling was pretty deep so maybe the white filling isn’t deep enough? How can this be rectified? The dentist said it’s just my tooth but it looks like some silver has been left in. Any advice please?
Hi Marcus. I brush my teeth twice a day as usual yet over last few years my teeth seem to chip and are becoming thinner. My own dentist said it’s down to personal care. What can I do? Also two of my teeth have been removed due to breaking and I feel like at any time another could break as they look so thin. During my last check up they mentioned I have glue on my teeth from when I had braces at 12/13 years old and that there has been damage around the glue. I feel like I’m getting no answers and that I’ll lose all my teeth if nothing is done.
