Thursday, August 1st, 2013
Q.

Hi Dr Bohara. I am going to get my teeth sliced so as to have braises on my teeth for 6 months. The doctor has advised me to go for slicing as it is easier and earliest for getting my teeth in good shape. I want to know if there is any risk of getting my teeth sliced like after getting sliced , they will get decay or they will be more prone to risk. Please give me an honest suggestion. I am scared regarding extraction of teeth that is why doctor suggested me to go for slicing. I would be really thankful if u give me a clear picture of What are the Pros & Cons of slicing. Thanks a lot for any help !!

Has Chewing Food Caused My Gums To Recede?

Wednesday, July 10th, 2013
Q.

Hello Dr Bohara, I am hoping that you can advise me with something. Is it possible that the gum that surrounds the inner sufaces of the upper molars, at the roof of the mouth, could be gradually worn away or pushed away from the tooth, perhaps caused by years of chewing food?
I am now 40 years old and have very sensitive teeth in this region of my mouth due to the receded gum line and I was wondering what treatment options are available in order to fix or halt this?
The receded gum is on the left side of my face. This is the side that I tend to use most often when chewing food. I have never had any real dental problems until now so I’m not really sure how to go about getting help for this particular issue of mine.Thank you for your help.

My Teeth Are Completely Rotten, What Are My Options?

Thursday, July 4th, 2013
Q.

Hi, I wondered if you could please advise me on something? If one’s teeth are completely rotten and dentures cannot be attached to any of them, what are the other possible solutions? If all the teeth are to be removed, will the person need to have at least one or two teeth implanted in order to wear dentures? The patient’s teeth are completely rotten and he is unable to eat. I am writing on behalf of him, we’re not sure where to turn. Considering the cost of dental implants, is there a cost-effective solution to this problem? We would just like a general idea so we can gather the correct funds, get in touch with the right dentists for example. We’re sort of new to the whole implant dentistry/cosmetic dentistry so we don’t really have a clue on how to go about getting the right information. This is why we came here and asked for your help. Thank you very much for your advice in advance.

I Want Veneers On My Front Teeth, Is This Possible?

Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013
Q.

Hi I just have a couple of questions. I had a root canal on my front teeth a few years ago now it is slightly discoloured and a little chipped, it really bothers me but, my dentist has advised not to have a crown or veener and leave it as it is and not to mess with it as it may cause it to fall out in the near future, is there anything at all you can advise? I would like 4 veeners across the front top if possible do you think there is anything i can do? I’m really not happy with the appearance of it, I feel he’s just being lazy! I’m the one who has to live with it and smile with it showing, with it being on my front tooth I feel like everyone can see it. It’s making me feel very self-conscious but what am I supposed to do if he won’t fix it for me? Thanks

How Many Visits To The Dentst Does Teeth Whitening Require?

Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013
Q.

Hello doctor I just want to ask you if you could possibly make my teeth white from yellow and how many visits will it require? I noticed that if I brush them like 1 to 2 months 2 times a day they become white but not bright white. I smoke a lot and I just can’t cut it and I don’t really have time to brush them or getting bored to wait for the results. I work a lot so I don’t want to have to take lots of time off work in order to have this treatment done. I don’t even know how to go about getting the treatment, I’m new to the cosmetic side of things. I just feel that it is the best option for me as I won’t have to worry about the appearance of my smile for a while then. I also want to know how much will it cost for making them white from yellow. I live in Coventry. Thanks in advance.

My Dentist Doesn’t Want To Redo My Filling, Why Is This?

Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013
Q.

Hello, can you please help me with something? I have a filling in my front tooth due to an accident that happened when i was younger. Recently the filling has become discolored, so i obviously asked my dentist to redo it because it was really beginning to bother me. She said she will polish it and if it keeps going discolored to come back. i’m not being funny but the whole reason i came is because its already discolored. I feel that waiting will not do me any justice at all and it’s already making me feel very self-conscious. So i was wondering is there any reason why she wouldn’t want to redo it.. or is she just being lazy? I don’t want to have to wait weeks and weeks and the polishing didn’t seem to  make any difference at all. I don’t know what to do…thanks for taking your time in reading this.

Will Composite Bonding Improve The Look Of My Smile?

Wednesday, June 12th, 2013
Q.

Hi, my lateral incisors are very small and pointy and my canine teeth are very big. This makes me have a very weird smile. What treatments do you have to fix this? And roughly how much does it cost? I was thinking maybe composite bonding for better shape lateral incisors. I don’t know what procedure can be used to make my canines look nicer. I want to have a beautiful smile without feeling self conscious…. I don’t know what else to say

Can I Get A Fixed Bridge Instead Of My False Teeth?

Monday, June 10th, 2013
Q.

I lost two front bottom teeth two months ago I was horrified. I was told that I can’t have a bridge at the moment so I have to put up with false teeth. The rest of my teeth are strong but I think the problem is that the gum where I lost my teeth are low. I would like to know if there is a chance of having a bridge fixed as the false teeth keep coming out and feel very uncomfortable. I feel really down I need advice.
It would help if you could tell me how likely you think it is that I’ll be able to get a fixed bridge? Also if you could point me in the direction of a colleague then that would also be brilliant. Regards.

My Inlay Fell Out, Will My Dentist Give Me A Better One?

Friday, June 7th, 2013
Q.

Hello Dr Bohara, my composite inlay has fallen out.The inlay was fitted as half of my tooth broke bad .What do i need to do ?? go back to my dentist an have a new inlay fitted .Is there a possibility that it will happen again ? My tooth was not suitable for a crown when I went as the break where near the gum line .Can you please be so kind to advise me what to do? Thanks. The inlay only  lasted two weeks and then it fell out .Are these inlays strong enough to be fitted and are there other alternatives which may be stronger ? I’m not sure about having another inlay unless I can be assured that it will last as long as it needs to. Would love to hear back from you soon, thanks.
