I Used To Have Braces But I Snapped My Retainers And My Teeth Relapsed. Can I Get Treatment A Second Time?

Hi Dr Shaffie. I had my braces around 3 years ago but I have lost my retainers a year after wearing it and then got new ones, straight after, a couple of months later I have broke both my new retainers again and should of bought new ones but then my teeth moved all the way forward and to their normal positions. This has caused me jaw pains an I can feel my jaw widen again, also it is had to keep mouth shut, also I have an overbite, my teeth really irritate my gums causing it to be very uncomfortable. Would I be able to braces for free again at the age of 16? Thanks.

What Sort Of Treatment Should I Consider To Fix My Overbite?

Hi, I was wondering what sort of surgery I could get to improve my teeth. I have a bit of an overbite and the top front two teeth are much larger and not in line with the other teeth. It’s a bit like the two teeth are like bunny teeth. I’d really like the top row of teeth to be straight and for the two front teeth not to stick out like they do, however I’m unsure what action would need to be taken to solve this problem. I’m fine with getting braces, I am just curious how they’d work because it’s not like there’s a gap between any of my teeth for teeth to shift towards. Thank you.

Hi, I have a horrible teeth sticking out since I was a little, I am now 49 years old and my dream was always to wake up and have straight front teeth especially as I have been bullied all my life because of my teeth. Even now starting from my own family and now with age I noticed that they are sticking out even more. Please can you advise me? Hi Dr Shaffie. I hope you can help me with some good advice. I am 21 years old and really dislike my teeth, my front tooth seems to be slightly further behind my other front teeth and they are not well shaped.

I don’t want veneers due to the costing – What other options are available please? I would consider cosmetic bonding but again don’t really know the costing. Please could you advise me?

I want a smile makeover without the steep cost and without my teeth being filed down.

Hi, I Had An Upper Denture Made By The NHS But It Doesn’t Fit Well. Should I Make A Complaint?

Hi Dr Hussein, I had a upper denture made with the NHS about 2 months ago and to be honest it has never fitted very well at all. I only need to open my mouth at it falls out! My dentist claims I can’t get enough suction and has advised me to use an adhesive, I think she has just made a bad impression and is just fobbing me off. Surely a new denture should be tight. I don’t really want to make an official complaint but am getting to the point here that I may have to. I’m distressed about this and really would like your advice.

The Treatment My Dentist Has Recommended Is To Put A Bridge In. Is This Right In Your Opinion?

Hi Dr Shaffie. I had a severe pain in my left jaw. The dentist I visited said I have infection on tooth #19. He gave me antibiotics to take for a week. The pain is getting better but not completely gone. The treatment plan he proposed is to extract the teeth and put the bridge in. Would you say this is a good option? If so, does the bridge treatment have to take place immediately or can I wait for a month? What other options do I have available to me? I do not have any insurance to cover and I want to know if this process of bridging can be delayed? Thank you, I’ll await your advice on this matter.

Can You Recommend A Top Dental Clinic To Fit Permanent Crowns?

Hello Dr Shaffie. Can you recommend a top dental clinic to fit permanent crowns? I have temporary crowns in two adjacent molar implants fitted a year ago. How much should I expect to pay?

The current crown is a twin crown fitted into typical titanium abutments, which are fitted very well and securely.
I need to have top quality work done and cost is not the big issue. Reliable work and after care is most important.  My oral hygiene is very good and enjoy good health . I am 70 years of age and I would like this problem sorted out.

I am 50 years old with a baby tooth that never fell out next to my top big tooth it is now discoloured, loose and I got an estimate for Invisalign which is crazy I have no orthodontic insurance. What would be your suggestion for fixing this? Invisalign, 6 month smile? I cut all my food, I don’t smile and now I’m at the point that I need to get something done. Hello Dr Shaffie. I heard someone say recently that a bridge should last between 10 to 15 years, right? After then what happens to it? Does it break or fall out? Is there a chance it can cause other health issues? I’m currently awaiting treatment for this and I’d like to know if it’s safe, also will they be able to fit me with a new one when it’s finished? I Think My Wisdom Tooth Is Coming Through But I Am Worried It Could Be Something Serious. Can You Help Me?

Hello, right at the back of my mouth where my wisdom tooth would be there is a piece of gum that is inflamed like a little bubble.

It happened a few days ago but went down. Now it has come back again. It is only painful to push on though and is not causing me too much distress at the moment. I also have a filling on to tooth next to it which I’m not sure would make any difference. I’m also suffering with a cold at the minute so I’m unsure as to whether this could affect it either.
I’m assuming it might just be my wisdom teeth coming through as I am 24 years old but I’m worried it could be something serious.

Please help me with this!
