What is the average cost of re-applying a veneer that has come off, including the preparation/cleaning and removal of cement from the veneer. Last time this happened I was charged £190.00 which I thought was excessive.

How much does it cost to re-apply a veneer?
Tuesday, March 29th, 2011My dentist says lumineers are not as good as veneers, what do you think?
Tuesday, March 29th, 2011My wife is looking to have a gap repaired in her front teeth and them restored to their original length and have veneers. We are worried about the amount of preparation required for veneers and so the possiblity of lumineers is attractive. However our dentist says that luminers are just a thin version of a normal veneer and the result will neither be as durable or as asthetically pleasing since there will always be an “edge” where the veneer meets the tooth using the lumineer approach. What do you think. Regards.
I agree with your dentist

I’m 19 – am I entitled to a free brace?
Monday, March 28th, 2011Hi Andrew, I would like to know if it’s possible to get braces for free at my age. I’m 19 and live in South Wales. My teeth are quite crooked and have gaps, it really knocks my confidence but I can’t afford the thousands of pounds it costs to have braces. Is there any other option?
Thanks,
Is orthodontic work not recommended if there is 8mm bone loss?

What can I do about having a tooth extracted – thus being unable to wear a bridge?
Monday, March 28th, 2011I am 66 years of age and have a 6 bridge covering the front teeth due to a cricket accident many many years ago. I have now been told that a tooth under the bridge has bad decay and needs to be removed making a bridge impossible. I am uncertain as to the best way forward based on options, appearance and cost. Any advice would be appreciated.

How can I keep teeth healthy and free of gum disease?
Monday, March 28th, 2011Andrew, as a dentist, what is your ultimate advice and tips to keeping teeth healthy and free of gum disease? Can you really prevent it entirely and do any health factors (ie strength of immune system) have anything to do with it?
Also, should we clean our teeth in warm or cold water? I’ve been using warm (as i’m told it softens tooth bristles and kills bacteria) but is this the correct way?
Many thanks!
