can my braces be taken off for my wedding day

Monday, December 22nd, 2008
Q.
Hi There Sorry to bother you, & thank you very much to offer a place to ask the question. Actually I am having my orthodontic treatment from last year & having the fixed braces on both upper & lower jaw. Now I got my wedding planned on March next year & I dont want to have braces on that special day. So is it possible to get the fixed braces off for 2-3 weeks & then fixed it. I dont wanna ask this question to my doctor, so please help me on this. Regards

would the inman aligner be appropriate for teeth that have veneers on them

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008
Q.
Hello, I was wondering would it be at all possible that the inman aligner would be appropriate for teeth that have veneers on them already? I have veneers in the front however they tilt slightly forward and I would like them to protrude less. I realise each case is individual but in theory would this work, or would the veneers be damaged in doing so? Thank you

Basically my teeth are fine but the upper front 2 are sticking out

Monday, December 15th, 2008
Q.
Hi Basically my teeth are fine but the upper front 2 are sticking out a little, I’ve been to see my orthodontist and he suggested I need one extraction and a brace putting on, I want to know how much this would cost on average because I got a quote of £1500 which is steep for me 🙁 Would removable braces be cheaper?? Kind Regards.

One of my upper incisors B didn’t grow It is genetics

Thursday, December 11th, 2008
Q.
Hello, One of my upper incisors (B) didn’t grow. It is genetics. My sister don’t have one of the incisors (B) too. They move her teeth so the big gap size of a tooth dissapeared. In my case they put a temporary porcelain tooth which is glued with some special glue to my incisor (A) and canin. I was supposed to have a surgery where they would give me implant. But I don’t want to have implant. I am just 22 years old and I don’t want to have fake tooth all my life. I would like to have my teeth moved, so the space, where is porcelain tooth now, will be gone. They did this with my sisters teeth so it is possible isn’t it? It doesn/t matter that the gap is big as a tooth? I would like to ask you if it can be done and if it can be done with Invisalign. Thank You very much

I have a broken back tooth

Q.
I have a broken back tooth with one whole section of tooth (which looks like a fang) having broken off. What types of crown would be suitable for this scenario and at what cost.

I have a very large filling in one of my upper rear teeth

Monday, December 8th, 2008
Q.
Hi, my question relates to crowns. I have a very large filling in one of my upper rear teeth (second from the back) my dentist thought the cavity was really a bit large to be filling but i didn’t want to lose the tooth so it was filled. I’ve been very careful with it and its lasted about 8 months but part of the tooth has now broken off, i assume this will only get worse and so my question is can the filling be ground down allong with the remaining tooth to support a crown, or does the filling have to be removed and the crown bonded just to the tooth as i don’t think there will be enough material to bond to if the filling is removed. thanks.

I had braces when I was 16 and had them off at 18

Thursday, December 4th, 2008
Q.
Hello! I had braces when I was 16 and had them off at 18. I am now 20 and my teeth have moved slightly and the no longer are as perfect as they were which is very depressing since I went through countless appointments and discomfort to get them that way! Is there a way that this can be solved without drastic cost or prolonged discomfort? Thank you

I had to go to the dentist to have my left upper baby canine tooth removed

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008
Q.
Here’s the problem. When I was 14 I had to go to the dentist to have my left upper baby canine tooth removed because it wouldnt’ come loose and the adult tooth was growing in behind it. This didn’t correct the problem because my adult tooth was almost all the way in. All my other teeth are in perfect position. It’s just this one tooth that is out of line. Instead of going over my bottom canine tooth my upper one goes behind it. It’s like it grew in at the perfect angle because it doesn’t cause any of my other teeth to crossbite at all. So what I’m wondering is, do I have to get this Canine tooth pulled and have an implant put in or are there other means by which this tooth can be put in it’s correct positioning? I can send you pictures if need be. Thanks so much for your insight!
