Hi Dr. Moore
I had a crown fitted with post (a short post, apparently) some seven years ago on my large upper front incisor.
I recently bit down hard on a tiny piece of chicken bone (not knowingly!), suffering pain and very slight forward displacement of tooth.
Visited local walk in Teaching Hospital and X-Ray showed that the post was broken, with the crown intact.
There is slight movement to tooth, no constant pain and no signs of infection.
My questions;
1. Is it possible to replace post and/or crown
2. Will I lose the tooth
3. What are the chances of infection and further damage
4. What are my options
Regards.

What Should I Do If I’ve Cracked The Post Of My Crown
Thursday, April 4th, 2013Has My Dentist Filed My Tooth Too Much?
Thursday, January 24th, 2013 Hello I recently chipped my front tooth On thurs. I went to a dentist on Friday. My chipped tooth was bonded with a white filling and then filed. I have noticed that my front teeth are now not the same length as they were previously. The newly filled tooth is a shorter length is this normal? Or Did the dentist file the tooth too much?
Now I’m conscious of my two front teeth not being level. Is there anything I can do? Can white filing be added to make the teeth the
same length ?
I take pride in my teeth and was always proud of my teeth when I smile, now because of this I feel I cannot have a confident smile as before. I would be extememly grateful if you could answer my questions and let me know what you recommend I should do. Should I go back to the dentist who was not my usual dentist but I went because I could not get an earlier appointmentwith my main dentist.

Where Can I Find A Good Dentist In Cardiff?
Friday, January 18th, 2013 Hi Dr.Andrew Moore, I am suffering with chronic tmj at the moment and awaiting a splint. Is there a really good dentist that you could recommend in the Cardiff or Vale of Glamorgan area that can help me as I am unable to eat properly now. I have been doing loads of reading as I await an emergency dentist. I never realised what was happening to me over the years and I hope I can sort it asap. I have had this chronic problem since my wisdom teeth arrived and were removed 24 years ago and I know there are treatments that raise the height of the bite that aid in jaw movement. I am on the NHS waiting list but it is proving to be so long and I am in agony as my hearing is going and everyday is geting harder to bear.
Hope you can help. any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to reading your response. Thank you
