How Can I Straighten My Single Crooked Tooth?

Tuesday, May 28th, 2013
Q.

Hello, out of all my teeth I have one tooth at the front that is a bit crooked and I want to have it straightened. Although I don’t want to have to go through the whole process of having braces just for this one tooth because its not worth it. Do you know if there are any other options I could take just to straighten this one tooth? It is at the front of my mouth and all of my other teeth are absolutely fine which is why i want to get this one seen too. if you know any treatments that i could straighten it without going through too much hassle that would be great. Thankyou.

How Should I Deal With My Protruding Canines And Small Laterals?

Tuesday, May 21st, 2013
Q.

Hello I was wondering what could be done about my canines because they stick out and also my laterals because there smaller than my other teeth , like there not the same size. My laterals are small and when I smile I feel very embarrassed. I also wanted to know if I get my teeth whitened is it a long term thing or will they turn yellow again? The rest of my teeth are the same length accept my laterals and they look
odd I’m 16 years old and having a nice smile would mean a lot to me. I cant smile without feeling ashamed of my teeth. So it’s affecting my confidence really badly and at the minute being a teenager it’s becoming a bit too much of an issue to just ignore.

Should I Opt For Veneers Or Just Surgically Alter My Whole Mouth?

Tuesday, May 21st, 2013
Q.

Hello,
I was wondering if you could give me some information about fixing my teeth. my upper left and upper right central teeth are quite buck and stick out right. It is getting to the stage where I am ready to do something about it, it’s been something that I’ve put off for a little while so would definitely like it sorting. My teeth are generally quite wonky and I would like to get this fixed by surgery.

Roughly, how much would it cost to get this done? Would you suggest individual veneers for the buck teeth or to get my entire mouth surgically changed?

Thanks very much for your time. I hope to hear back from you soon!

Can I Fix My Overcrowded Teeth?

Tuesday, May 7th, 2013
Q.

Hi there
I only ever go to the dentist when I get pain, because I am very embarrassed about the state of my teeth. They are so overcrowded and I did go to the dentist when I was young but got scared and kept putting off appointments, however I am now in my late 30’s and really need to sort then our, just hope it’s not too late!they cross badly at the front on the top and in the bottom they are even worse, I won’t smile and it’s really upsetting me and getting me down, I don’t have £200 to have new teeth fitted but I just want someone to help without it costing me £1000’s of pounds
Thank you.

Are There Any Cheap Treatments Available That Can Fix Overlapping Front Teeth?

Thursday, May 2nd, 2013
Q.

Hi,

I would like some advice please,my two front teeth are crossed and overlapping slightly. one of them is pushing down on the other and pushing it back. They have been like this for as long as I can remember now and they make me feel very self conscious. I have just applied to study drama at university and intend to become an actor when I have left so I would like them fixed as soon as possible. Please bear in mind that my other teeth are fine, well as far as I know. What would be the best treatment to correct this? My main focus is the two front teeth, not the whole set, can you get braces or whatever to treat just two teeth?. I don’t have a great deal of money to spend as I am a student (I am due to finish sixth form this summer). Any advice or recommendations would be great. Thank you,  kind Regards.

I Believe My Orthodontist Removed Teeth Incorrectly, Can I Take Any Action?

Friday, March 1st, 2013
Q.

Please Help! I need your advice on what to do. After a long 3 yrs, I finally had my braces removed. I had an over-bite & crowding on top and only crowding on the bottom. Due to this, I had 2-4 molar extractions & now I have spacings in between my teeth(s)! As soon as they were off, I told my ortho about the spacings & was told that if i wear my retainers they would close (It has now been 8 months!!!). I rescheduled an app. to see them & was told that I needed bondings because my teeth(s) were in in their correct position & they couldn’t be moved any closer. So I thought it was fine, I’ll get the work done but to only find out that it had to be paid out of my pocket! Since they were highly recommended, I sincerely trusted them & never questioned their judgement. I’m no expert but I believe that they shouldn’t have extracted anything & if they would’ve known better, they should’ve known that I would have spacing issues from the very beginning (I read that they can actually measure/calculate the size of your teeths to determine that this won’t happen). Now I’m worried that I spent all that money for nothing & I’m gonna have to live with the ugly spacings because of their mistakes.

Can My Niece Get Braces On The NHS For Free?

Thursday, January 31st, 2013
Q.

My niece is 31 years old and is in receipt of income support. She is stunning but is very conscious of her very crooked teeth. Would she be entitled to a brace on the nhs as her problem is making her really unhappy. She has always worked but only part time but now has a young daughter and this is the first time she has ever claimed benefits. .
She is becoming more and more conscious and paranoid that people are looking at her. She is not the most confident person in the world and never ever smiles when having photos taken as she won’t let anyone see her teeth. I personally think it is now affecting her mental state and there is nothing that we can say to her to boost her confidence. She has always looked after her teeth and they are brilliant white although she does only attend a dentist when it is absolutely necessary. She currently wears a tooth shield as she has been experiencing severe pain but shows no signs of having any actual dental problem so has had to have this made as they think it is caused by clenching her teeth together or by grinding them. Please try to help us to make her smile her beautiful smile like she used to do when she was young and carefree

My Teeth Are Slightly Out Of Place, Are Braces My Only Option?

Thursday, January 31st, 2013
Q.

My front teeth at the top are out of place and the bottom teeth are squint but typical braces would take much to long and I would rather not have them for years.. is there any methods that I could get that would work faster to give me a nice smile.. And what are the prices for the procedures roughly? I did have a look through your site at all the different treatments But I am still unsure of what would be the best option for myself and I would really appreciate any advice or information you could provide on the topic.

Thank you.

Should I Get Invisalign?

Thursday, January 24th, 2013
Q.

A very warm hello to you Dr. Moore,

I am in need of help regarding what would be the best possible treatment for a missing tooth/gap at the front of my teeth. I also need my teeth straightened and was thinking about Invisalign, are there any other treatments which would be best to straighten teeth? I guess I don’t want such a long treatment. I just have a missing tooth at the front and two others that were pulled but apart from that they rest are fine but need straightening.

I appreciate your time and help,

Thank you kindly, I look forward to reading your response.
