Being a OAP, can anyone put a smile back on my face by offering to give me implants? I have tried false teeth but they are not good, I can’t wear them and can’t eat with them either. My gums are hurting trying to eat meat and hard things like apples or oranges or even sweets. It’s very hard to cope with this, is there any way the government can get the NHS to fund this (teeth implant) so I can get the chance to smile again?

Can I Get Dental Implants Funded by the NHS?
Thursday, May 19th, 2016What is the Difference Between Enlighten and Enlighten Evolution 3?
Wednesday, May 18th, 2016Hi Dr Andrew, hope you are well. What is the difference between Enlighten Whitening and Enlighten Evolution 3 Whitening? I know with Evolution 3 you get the in-surgery appointment on the 15th day, but does this really make a big difference to results generally, as there is a significant difference in price? And do teeth sometimes go whiter than a B1 shade? I’ve heard they can do depending on natural colour of teeth?
Many thanks in advance.
How Can My Stained and Sensitive Teeth be Treated?
Wednesday, May 18th, 2016 Hi, I’ve had really bad acid reflux and the tops of my teeth near the gum looks indented and they are yellow, stained and sensitive.
I’ve gone to my dentist and they have put bonding over a couple, but 4 months on and they seem to be the same as before!
Plus I hate going and it’s effecting me as my teeth look disgusting! I need to know what I can have done and how much roughly it costs?
Regards,
Can a Gummy Smile be Corrected Without Braces?
Wednesday, May 18th, 2016At the age of 59, is it possible to correct or improve a gummy smile without braces? What sort of cost and length of treatment would we be looking at? My teeth are OK at the front the rest are heavily filled and crowned. I already have veneers on the top two front teeth. These two teeth are the biggest problem as they sit rather low. Could veneers be made to sit higher on the gums? I do not want braces at my age! And not really keen on going injections I’ve vaguely read about. I would like something permanent.
My Crowns Are Forming Wide Gaps Between Them. What Can Be Done?
Tuesday, May 17th, 2016Hello, I have crowns on my front teeth both top and bottom. I had these done when I was abroad about 8 years ago. The front ones on the top are forming wide gaps between them. Is there anything I can get done without replacing them? I am not sure, but I heard that there can be splints put between them. If so, are these expensive? I do not want to have to replace them as they are very expensive. Thanks.
What Can Be Done About the Gap of a Missing Tooth Whilst Waiting for an Implant?
Tuesday, May 17th, 2016I need to have left front tooth and one to the left removed due to bone loss (I am under Eastman’s and fanatical about hygiene). However, being a wimp I am struggling with the thought of having the gap – apart from temporary plate, can you suggest ways of coping in the interim of a possible implant, i.e. how do you look in the mirror? I know they need to come out and I am all for it but I can’t get over the distress over what a two teeth gap will look like – I am not vain, but distressed and do not want to talk funny.
Can a Crown be Re-Shaped Using Veneers?
Friday, May 13th, 2016I broke my front tooth in an accident 20 years ago. It had a metal-ceramic crown. A part of the root was also damaged, for which I had an operation to remove part of the bone from the lingual side. The new crown was very ugly shaped, different to the other tooth. Many dentists fear to remove the crown, others say to have an implant done, which I fear. Is it possible to restore the shape by means of a veneer or Lumineer? A dentist made a restoration with composite, but it is broken now, after many years.
What is the Best Way to Close a Gap in My Teeth?
Friday, May 13th, 2016I have a large gap between my 2 front teeth (about 5mm wide) with a piece of skin hanging down between the teeth. What would be the right steps to take in closing the gap fully? I know I will have to have a frenectomy but I don’t know what to do after that because it is such a wide gap. Would it be better to get braces or Invisalign or would cosmetic surgery (veneers) do the trick? Although I have read it’s not usually practical to close such a wide gap with veneers as it can make the front teeth look very wide and unnatural. I’m looking for the quickest (less than 1 year) and cheapest method. Any ideas please?
Could I Have My Veneers Removed and Replaced with Whiter Ones?
Friday, April 29th, 2016Dear Sir/Madam. I had 12 composite veneers fitted – 6 on the top 6 on the bottom. I have chipped one at the front and am very unhappy with them. The dentist matched them to my natural colour which is very yellow! I am not fussed with the bottom row as you can hardly see them but I would like the top row removed and replaced to achieve a very white Hollywood smile like the celebrities.
Do you think this could be done?
Many thanks.
