Can you tell me what I suffer from as my teeth are sensitive for a few minutes after drinking hot tea?

Q.
whts the difference b/t reversible and irreversible pulpitis?
i read about it that both r reactive to hot, cold, sweets and heat may b important in later stages of irreversible pulpitis.duration of pain is seconds for rversible and few minutes for irreversible.my question is how many minutes exactly???
my teeth r sensitive to hot tea for few minutes…wht do i suffer from??
A.
Dear Enquirer,
It sounds like you have either reversible pulpitis or a case of extremely sensitve teeth. Irreversible pulpitis is unbearable pain which is constant and does not need any cold/hot/sweet stimulus to begin. In addition, the only way to alleviate the symptoms of irreversible pulpitis is by taking regular painkillers and then having a root canal treatment.
I hope this helps,
Sunita

Dr. Samia Says :

you might have exposed dentine which is the cause of sensitivity.
