Can you remove my infected wisdom tooth before I move to New York next week?

Q.
Hi Mr Hughes,
I recently saw my local dentist who told me my wisdom tooth is infected and I need to have it removed. Trouble is, I move to NYC next week and was told that I would have to referred for a hospital consultation. I am currently not in any pain, but am aware it could flair up at any time and of course I don’t want this to happen when in the states. I wondered how much it cost to have it removed privately or if there’s anyway I could have this surgery sooner. Also I am also concerned that I have already had 4 teeth removed when I had braces as a teenager and I am worried that it’s not good to have any more out as it can change to shape of your face in due time.

Many thanks.

Come and see us immediately. Costs could be from £250 to £1000 depending on the complexity, whether or not we need to use an anestheist for sedation. I am confident this can be arrnaged before you go but you must allow for time for you to heal and recover – sometimes there can be complications after surgery. It is vital you have a thorough assessment first

Kind regards

Mark
