Can you explain what is non precious semi precious and full procelain crown materials
Q. Hi Dr.. I ve chipped my crown quite badly. Now I have to replace all 4 crowns (as they re attached 2 each other) but am confused on the type of materials used. Can you pls explain what is:- 1.non precious material 2.semi precious 3.full procelain Which material has good durability plus looks natural? Appreciate your suggestion on material to be used and how do i tell which material the dentist has used. Thank You
A. There are different forms of all porecelain crowns. The choice of crown will be dependable on many factors which would be identified in the examination i.e colour, the way your teeth meet, present tooth structure , etc.
The types of crowns in your case would be discussed by the dentist at the examination.
