Can my tooth be fixed with an implant or crown?

Q.
I have lost a bit f the back of one of my bottom front teeth making the top of it very fragile. My dentist has built it up reluctantly as he says it wont last and will have to come out. Is there any hope for a crown or implant?

It sounds like the tooth could be crowned before considering an implant although its difficult to tell without seeing you.
