can I use my invisalign for retainers they are very stained ?
Q. I Am wearing invisalign to straighten my teeth. The bottom one are still not straight after about 9 months but the invisalign are finished for the bottom ones. I have been asked to keep my last set on invisalign in all the time for the next 3 months and then I will have to have a brace if they have not moved. The invisalign look very battered and stained although I have cleaned them regularly and I am thinking of stopping wearing them as my teeth look discoloured. Can you tell me if they are designed to be worn for this lenght of time. Thank you.

It certainly is no problem to wear the invisalign appliances as retainers, however if you feel that they need replacing due to their condition then I am sure your orthodontist will be happy to provide you with a new set to maintain the result you have achieved so far.

For best results simply toothbrushing with liquid soap will prevent any staining from appearing with your new appliance
