Can a Gummy Smile be Corrected Without Braces?
Q.
At the age of 59, is it possible to correct or improve a gummy smile without braces? What sort of cost and length of treatment would we be looking at? My teeth are OK at the front the rest are heavily filled and crowned. I already have veneers on the top two front teeth. These two teeth are the biggest problem as they sit rather low. Could veneers be made to sit higher on the gums? I do not want braces at my age! And not really keen on going injections I’ve vaguely read about. I would like something permanent.

Hi, thank you for your question. Gummy smiles are very difficult to treat, even with surgery. Find a cosmetic dentist in your area for a full assessment to see what they can do. Kind regards, Andrew.
