Can a gap in teeth be corrected without braces?

Q. i have gap in my front top teeth, is there any treatment without braces, and please tell me how it cost approximately.,
A. Dear Enquirer, The good news is that there are several options for you if you want to close the gap between your teeth without using braces. If the gaps are up to 4mm then we can use cosmetic bonding techniques, similar to placing a white filling on the teeth either side of the gap, making them wider and hence closing the gap. The cost for this treatment in my practice ranges from £300-£500. You can also have porcelain veneers on your teeth to close gaps. Costs start from £600 per veneer in good cosmetic practices. Do look on this site so you can get more information on these two techniques. Do also look at this link so you can see how the results look. http://www.cosmeticdentistryguide.co.uk/experts/dr-sunita-verma.html#gallery I hope this helps.

Hi Dechen, it sounds like you will need a filling, ask your dentist to take a look for you.

Dear Brody, Gaps can be treated by moving the teeth into the correct position (i.e. braces), filling the gap with a white filling material or providing veneers/crowns.
