Can 6 Month Smiles straighten my smile as well as traditional fixed braces?
Q.
I have recently had a consultation and have been recommended 6 months smile braces. My top lateral incisor is set quite far back and locked behind my lower teeth so I was surprised the shorter treatment time would be suitable expecting perhaps to have teeth removed to make room.

Can 6 month smile treatment apply such force to bring such a stubborn tooth forward?
I guess I am worried because I have had full braces before and some teeth have slipped back into position (thanks in part to my failure to wear my retainer for suffucient time).
Thanks in advance!

Good questions. Without examining you in person it’s almost impossible to give you accurate advice. Six month smiles may work, as it is a fixed appliance option, but remeber it is still a compromise. It’s more often than not better to move all the teeth to get the best result and to have most control. If you are concerned I’d suggest a second opinion from a Specialist Orthodontist.

Hi I have the same problem and it really bothers me and I have no confidence.
Would a veneer be an option?
