Are they responsible for correcting my denture repair?

Q. I recently broke my denture which replaces a front tooth I lost, I took it to my NHS Dentist who I appreciate gladly took a new imprint of my mouth and sent it off for repair under the free NHS Dental repair. However, when it returned and we tried it out it did not fit correctly and is noticably not in line with the surrounding teeth. She advised that nothing could be done as it had been repaired and the only option was for me to have a new denture made. At present I am unable to afford the £200 fee for a new denture and am therefore stuck with an ill fitting denture. I appreciate the repair service is free and am very appreciative of this but surely if the repair is not correct then they should be responsible for correcting the repair? Thanks.

A. If the denture “broke” again and an impression was taken to help to locate the repair you might get a better result. Rob

What a stupid answer! What would you say to the patient silly enough to take your advice if be buggered up his denture beyond repair! I assume I am correct in your meaning of putting broke in quotes.
