Are there any options to address my extracted tooth?

Q. I have to have a tooth extracted and have been advised an implant is the best option. My dentist has informed me that the gum will need to be left to heal for about 6 months. I enquired about temporary solutions to fill the gap and am being told that this will not be possible so I will have a gap at the front of my teeth for at least 6 months! Please can you advise?,
A. I would personally not leave the patient with a gap near the front but instead try to either place the implant at the time of extraction with a temporary tooth or use an adhesive temporary bridge or denture. If you’d like me to take a look feel free to contact my clinic in Essex
