Are my recent symptoms a result of my orthodontic treatment?

Q.
My othodontist fitted a herbst appliance in my mouth stating that i have a narrow jaw and a deep crease on chin. I did not have an overbite and from the information i have received herbst appliance is used only for children? It has widened my jaw and completely changed my appearence.

In addition to this, he widened my dental arch to such a degree that it was not natural. i asked him to remove the herbst appliance after a few months as it was painful and I have also asked him to reduce the size of my dental arch. He has done this but as a result, i have been suffering from dizziness and pressure on my nose. Is this normal? Can this cycle of expanding and reducing the size of my arch have an effect on my teeth. He never seems to explain what he is doing and why.

I’m not sure why you’re suffering these symptoms, chances are they are unrelated to your Orthodontics.

Right after the orthodontist removed my herbst device my equalibrium has been off and terrible ringing in my ears. I have gone thru test after test and no answers. Have you found relief?
