am i too old for orthodontics

Q. At the age of 12 – 15 I had braces fitted to my teeth ( upper mouth only) and the results were impressive. Now at the age of 44 I feel my front teeth have rotated slightly with a very slight overlap. The teeth next to my front teeth ( again on upper mouth) have rotated even more. Can I , at my age, have this corrected and would it be beneficial? The difference is slight but I am very aware of it. I would also like to have my bottom teeth straightened. Would you advise a consultation to assess this or would you think it unlikely anything could be done. I would appreciate your advice Kind regards

A. I would certainly recommend a consultation to see what options are available to you.  You are certainly not to old for orthodontics, I have some clients in  their sixties having theire teeth straightened!  I am sure you would love the finished look.  i would treat the bottom teeth as well as it is important to have a correct bite so your top and bottom teeth meet together.
I hope this helps

Hi there, i am 19 years old and feel a bit too old now for braces. I dont really have a problem with my teeth apart from the front two. My front two teeth are crooked and overlap quite a bit and I was wondering if veneers would be an option to sort them? Thanks in advance,

If you are considering veneers there may have to be alot of tooth preperation if your teeth are over laped for the veneers to be fitted on have you considerd invisbale braces or a removavle appliance to keep the structure of your own teeth

It is generally better to have both jaws treated so your bite can be improved, 20 is still very young i have patients in their sixties in braces!

I have an overbite and grew up with slightly goofy teeth and a gap. 21 years ago (I’m now 52) a dentist fitted a false toothto the RHS of my front teeth (it had been removed in error!) and crowns to the front 2. It was an improvement but I have never been really happy with them. The front teeth nowfeel sensitive to cold and I have an almost ‘metallic’ type taste in my mouth, I am terrified that the dentist who did the work filed down my front teeth and this is the reason they are now causing me problems. My lower teethare spaced and a bit damaged…it turns out I grind my teeth during sleep, which hasn’t helped!I am self consious of my teeth so put my hand in frontof my mouth a lot and hate hving pictures taken. My son is getting marriedin July, so for once in my life I would like a nice smile and be able to feel confident, but am worried it’s too late?

I would be grateful of some information on veneers, and whether these can be used to close a gap between my front teeth, at present I do no like to smile, because of my teeth. Any information on price would also be appreciated

hello i have a large overbite, which makes me look very, very goofy and obviously uncomfortable and I have now saved up enough money to get treatment. I like the idea of invisalign because it is very unnoticeable, so would you say I am a likely candidate? and how much would I expect to pay? thank you for any help you can give me

Invisalign is ideal for goofy patients. We have done hundreds of similar cases. We charge about 3000-3500 for a full arch treated case
