Calendula toothpaste offers additional protection against oral infections and bacteria that cause plaque and gum disease. This is because the toothpaste contains Calendula extracts which have anti-viral, anti-genotoxic and anti-inflammatory properties.
The Calendula extracts will fight any substance or molecules that can cause virus, inflammation to the gums and mouth. Additionally, the toothpaste does not contain fluoride and sodium lauryl sulphate. So Organic made the decision not to sell products containing sodium lauryl sulphate because recent scientific research has shown that they can cause skin irritation which can lead to gum disease.
Despite the product not containing fluoride, it is still very effective in combating plaque and unwanted bacteria without damaging the enamel of the teeth. Calendula is a versatile remedy; whilst ensuring teeth are kept clean and plaque free, the calendula will also soothe any sore abrasions to the mouth and help prevent throat infections.
