A popular pro wrestling star underwent urgent dental surgery after her teeth were knocked out during a WWE live event in Oberhausen, Germany.

Charlotte Flair, one of the biggest stars in World Wrestling Entertainment, suffered the injury during the very first night of WWE’s European tour.

The injury occurred during a match for the Smackdown Women’s Championship, and she fought through the pain to finish the match, which would end in a disqualification. After the match, Charlotte would cover her mouth to hide the damage to her teeth, and would tell a young fan asking for a selfie that she couldn’t take a picture because she lost her teeth.

Flair, 32, flew straight back to her home state of North Carolina in order to undergo dental surgery to fix her teeth, and she would post images of her new smile on Instagram.

The result of this is that Flair will miss tomorrow’s televised Smackdown television show filmed at the O2 Arena in London.

The second generation star, daughter of the legendary Ric Flair, plans to return to the European tour later this week and will be taking part in WWE’s next major network event, Money in the Bank, in the middle of June.

Charlotte is not the first superstar in recent months to need to see a dentist after a match. Fellow grappler Antonio Cesaro required dental implants after his teeth were knocked into his mouth in a hideous injury.
