University Of Buckingham Vice Chancellor Launches New Dental School

The University of Buckingham’s Vice Chancellor has travelled to Leicester to launch the UK’s first private dental school.

Vice Chancellor Professor Terence Kealey visited Leicester to meet with representatives from the Leicester Dental Teaching Academy and the University of Buckingham to discuss how the project will work. The Leicester Dental Teaching Academy, which will be the UK’s first private dental school, will be run in partnership with the University of Buckingham.

The academy will run a five-year course with an intake of around 100 students per year; it is anticipated that the course will be particularly popular with international students.

Vice Chancellor Terence Kealey met with Jeremy Goodman, commercial director of Leicester Dental Teaching Academy,Frances Robinson, from University of Buckingham collaborations, Atul Patel, registrar from Leicester Dental Teaching Academy and Alistair Alcock, Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Buckingham.
