Friends, relatives, colleagues and patients have paid tribute to hugely popular Worcester dentist, David Howcroft, who has died at the age of 55 years old.

David was diagnosed with a brain tumour two years ago and spent a lot of time raising money for charities and supporting Round Table events. David owned a dental practice in Shrubbery Avenue and moved from a clinic in Lichfield to Worcester 26 years ago.

Tonina Westgate worked for David for more than 20 years and described him as a “really good person” whom she was honoured to have known and worked alongside for such a long time. David was very popular with patients and colleagues alike and he will be very sadly missed. When he was diagnosed with a brain tumour in October 2012, David threw himself into charity events and was an active fundraiser for the Round Table.

David leaves behind a wife and two children. His funeral will take place on December 5th at Redditch Crematorium. David’s family has asked for any donations to be given to Primrose at the Princess Hospice in Bromsgrove.
