The Journey Of John Lennon’s Tooth
Nearly two years ago Dr Michael Zuk, a Canadian dentist bought John Lennon’s tooth in an auction. His plan was to get together with scientists in order to learn about the DNA of the world famous legend that is John Lennon.
The tooth itself has travelled all over the UK since it has been purchased, which is all the more surprising since it was rotten when extracted more that fifty years ago. The tooth was part of an oral cancer awareness tour, it has been part of a sculpture and been displayed for all to see.
As it stands Dr Zuk still believes that one day a living clone of John Lennon could one day be possible. He has already set up a website which is dedicated to taking DNA from teeth. He has told journalists that he will keep the DNA results to himself for the time being.
