Texan dental volunteers heading for Africa

A group of volunteers from Texas are heading to Africa to provide dental care for children in need.

The group of missionaries from the New Destiny Christian Fellowship in Odessa, Texas will travel to villages across Algeria to deliver much-needed dental aid.

The missionaries will deliver supplies, including toothpaste, dental floss and toothbrushes, to cities and remote villages and communities across the country. This will be the group’s second mission; the last trip in 2008 was a great success and missionaries wanted to build on the experience and continue providing care for the Algerian people.

According to New Dentistry missionary, Latasha Kechah, said that most people could not afford dental care for their families and admitted that accessing supplies was a huge problem. The group’s efforts will help to provide hundreds of people with essential dental supplies, which will help to improve their oral health.

The group will leave on the 15th December and donations will be gratefully received.
