Tenterden Dental Practice To Remain Open

Sample News Big

Members of staff at a dental practice in Tenterden are breathing a sigh of relief after it was confirmed that the practice would remain open. There were fears that the EasySmile surgery in East Cross would have to close after a planning application was made to the council, but the area manager has revealed that the surgery will remain open.

The future of the surgery was uncertain after the owners of the property made an application to change the use of the premises to a house; however, EasySmile’s area manager, Helen Browne has confirmed that the practice will remain open: instead of closing down, it will simply move to another location in the local area.

Mrs Browne said that the new location for the Tenterden EasySmile branch will be revealed in the next two weeks; there are four branches in Kent.

The owners of the property, Mr and Mrs Postans, applied to Ashford Borough Council to convert the surgery into a house and their representatives claimed that there would be no significant loss to the community, as there were already two dental practices in the town.

Ashford Borough Council has set a deadline of Tuesday 25th September for the decision.
