Temple City dentist shows off the results of child-friendly Hello Kitty makeover
A dentist in Temple City, California, is showing off the results of a child-friendly Hello Kitty makeover.
Parklane Dental has teamed with up the makers of Hello Kitty, Sanrio, to create the USA’s first Hello Kitty themed dental office. The bright, inviting clinic also boasts a host of other well-known Sanrio characters, including My Melody, Badtz Maru, Gudetama, Keroppi, Little Twin Stars, Pochacco and Pompompurin.
The aim of the renovation was to create treatment rooms that make children smile. Going to the dentist can be daunting for small kids, and seeing familiar faces and bright, vibrant walls can make the experience much more relaxing, exciting and fun. The rooms feature giant pictures and the characters have been added to walls and corridors holding toothbrushes and tubes of toothpaste to encourage children to look after their pearly whites.
Parents will be able to book appointments in either the Hello Kitty or Gudetama treatment rooms, and sessions will be available on a first come, first served basis. No walk-in appointments are available, but it is possible to book in advance over the phone. There is no extra charge for the themed rooms.
