'Teenagers want fast results from dental treatment'
It claims that new treatments such as veneers have replaced traditional braces as a way of straightening teeth.
Dr Zack Zaibak told the news provider that increasingly, many of his teenage patients want to see fast results.
"With the advancements in dentistry and technology there are options we can give them," he remarked.
One patient Dominick Corsiglia explained how happy he is with the results of his veneer treatment.
"I smile all the time," he said. "Everyone is like, 'You look so happy now.' It's changed my life."
Dr Zaibak claimed that veneers are a popular choice because they reshape crooked teeth, cover natural discoloration and fix gaps with minimal drilling therefore producing the results teenagers really want.
A survey by the British Dental Foundation found that 30 per cent of people make judgements about new people they meet mainlybased on their smile, whereas 12 per cent judge them primarily on their dress sense.
