The winner of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent has spent his winnings on a new set of teeth.

Singer Paul Potts won £100,000 from the programme in June and has confessed all he has used the money for is to pay off his mortgage and improve his smile.

He said: "It’s given me more confidence when I smile," reports the Sun.

The 37-year-old singer is set to show off his new teeth when he performs for the Queen at the Royal Variety performance next month.

He told Hello! Magazine that if someone had told him six months ago how much his life would change he would not have believed them.

Prior to the talent competition, Mr Potts was working in Carphone Warehouse as a salesman.

According to the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, four-fifths of the population are unhappy with their smile and 26 per cent have surgically enhanced their teeth.ADNFCR-1374-ID-18375426-ADNFCR
