Summit County Dentist Flying High

A dentist from Summit County is celebrating, after his skydiving team finished in second place at the Mountain State Indoor Skydive Competition in Denver last weekend.

Bob Meister is a dentist by day but he has a passion for skydiving and has been competing for a number of years. His team finished second to the Air Force Academy’s Wings of Blue team and he was one of 69 jumpers to take part in a record-breaking formation skydive in Colorado over the summer.

Meister was gracious in defeat, stating that the Wings of Blue team deserved the victory and joked that they were a lot younger than the members of his own team. Bob and his team have been training at Skyventure Colorado, an indoor skydiving facility and have flown together for more than three years.

Bob praised the facility and said that it was accessible to everyone and that his five-year-old daughter has been visiting the centre since she was just 18 months old and loves the experience.

Bob spends his days working at Breckenridge Family Dental and is happy to share his experiences and pass on details of the competitions and the indoor skydiving facility to patients.
