Somerset Dentists Supporting Movember Campaign
Dentists from a Somerset practice are backing the Movember campaign by growing moustaches.
Dental surgeons at Grants House Dentistry are encouraging patients to support the Movember campaign, which raises awareness of men’s health issues, including prostate and testicular cancer. Dentists Chris Hunt, Andy Richards and Barry Awan are backing the campaign by steering clear of their razors for the month. They are urging patients to support and sponsor them and they will be providing regular updates on the growth of their new moustaches.
Mr Richards said that it was a pleasure to be part of such a special and important campaign; men tend to avoid health issues and Movember is a means of getting men’s health issues out there and encouraging men to keep an eye on their health and educating them about common health problems. The campaign is also designed to raise awareness of men’s cancer, including prostate and testicular cancer.
The dental trio has apologised in advance for their unkempt appearance, but the dentists hope that the public will get behind them to support the worthy cause.
Movember is an international campaign, which rums throughout the month of November and is characterised by men growing moustaches until the end of the month.
